Red hair, freckles, and a bright smile when someone is lucky enough to see it. Very focused on her work, which she always seems to have on her in some form.

  • born to a leather worker (father) and seamstress (mother)
  • grew up in Southsea
  • the third born and second oldest girl, Leala was under less pressure as to her Future Life Choices from her parents
  • helped her mother sew and design clothing
  • was very close with her older brother (the oldest boy), Laurent, who taught her some archery and how to ride
  • oldest sister, Arlette, is married to a clergyman and makes the family very happy
  • younger brothers constantly acting like they're going to be great heroes one day
  • Laurent joins the Watch and also makes the family very happy
  • Laurent goes missing, presumed abducted by the Profane and killed
  • Leala goes to visit Gods' Reach, hoping against hope that her prayers to the gods will be answered and her brother will be returned to her
  • ends up in Northcliff Pass, low on money to finish her journey home but willing to work and save - and willing to stay close to Gods' Reach to continue her prayers

    Loves her job and her duty to the people and her family and the town; considers herself a bit of a failure for not having married and considers betrothing herself to the Light. Probably cries herself to sleep at night about her missing brother.

  • Sewing, Embroidery, Weaving, etc.: It's her job.
  • Clothing Design: For when you need a nice frock.
  • Archery: Just enough to shoot a pheasant for dinner or to take up arms in the event of a Profane assault on a town... probably not enough to live through it.
  • Horseback Riding: Can make the horse 'stop', 'go', 'go faster', and 'go slower'.
  • Cook: She's pretty decent at it.

    What a blessing to have a fresh set of eyes and pair of hands with a needle. Someone ought to snag that girl as a wife before she moves away! And so dedicated to her family, too! She has some different ideas about things, being from Southsea, but that's surely forgivable.
